I see it's an XP box. If the shared directories are ntfs then you won't
be able to read them with a default RH install. Last time I checked, RH
did not enable NTFS. Plenty of threads and info on this by searching.

I have two PC's on a network. One PC (A) has an ntfs partition for windows xp, linux partitions for fedora and a fat32 partition for all my data.

The other pc (B) has two fat32 partitions - one for windows xp and one for shared data over the network.

I want to be able to access the shared fat32 directory on (B) when I am using linux on (A).

I know that I can't read the ntfs partition on (A) while I am logged into linux on (A) but then I don't want to.
