Breakups and gaps and pauses could be Samba easy enough, but Samba just delivers the requested data, hopefully on time, it doesn't determine the speed that stuff is shunted to the output device. Sounds more like the kernel timer is set wrong on your machine, or there is a problem with the audio device clock rate? Mplayer lets you specify the master clock source IIRC, why not start it in a terminal playing something that doesn't work right and look for something early on like Using usleep() timing or stuff about /dev/rtc. - -Andy -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/t1isjKeDCxMJCTIRAgzVAJ9wJBU89krORlo+WvyXHUvWG1OyBgCeLPiC FQEvAOlovxqfR13fP0Wa/Vk= =KlEX -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
