You probably installed apt packages which were configured to point to
redhat 9 repositories. You need to get the correct rpms, or change your
repositories in /etc/apt/sources.list. It should be easy enough to keep
it up to date. Anyway, you have up2date and yum installed by default.
yum update does exactly what apt-get upgrade does and it comes with the
correct repositories. Fedora has only been out a few days anyway, so do
not expect updates now. Or use up2date. It is still there and does
exactly the same thing as in Redhat 9. The only thing that has changed
is that you do not need an account to use it.
