When you right click on the panel and add a launcher there is an icon problem. When you get to the place you want an icon you browse the icons you see are in /usr/share/pixmaps. But the icon you get is taken from a Bluecurve directory of icons: /usr/share/icons/Bluecurve/48x48/apps so the icon that comes up is not the one you have chosen. If you go to edit a launcher the icons come from this same Bluecurve directory and one never sees the /usr/share/pixmaps icons again. Sound like a bug.
