Hi Rob, > I am looking into building out a new fedora box for my house, but I > want to find an IDE raid card that works with fedora. On my older RH9 I recently purchased a 3ware 7506-4LP card for a new RHEL server I was building. I decided to try out FC1 with it before I put RHEL on. It worked flawlessly under FC1, no driver issues or anything. FC1 just saw it as one large SCSI drive. A no brainer. I've tried the hot-swap feature under RHEL. I was able to remove one the the IDE drives and the system never even knew it was gone. I put the drive back in and rebuilt the array. The system again didn't even know anything. The $$ spent on the 3ware card was worth every cent in my books. -- Regards, +-----------------------------+---------------------------------+ | Peter Kiem .^. | E-Mail : <zordah@xxxxxxxxxx> | | Zordah IT /V\ | Mobile : +61 0414 724 766 | | IT Consultancy & /( )\ | WWW : www.zordah.net | | Internet Services ^^-^^ | ICQ : "Zordah" 866661 | +-----------------------------+---------------------------------+ My current spamtrap address is est1203@xxxxxxxxxx
