Having the same problem... my mount gets
mount: /dev/sda1 is not a valid device
fstab entry:
/dev/sda1 /mnt/butterfly vfat noauto,user,rw 0 0
cat /proc/bus/usb/devices is attached
PS Same fstab works with several other usb storage devices, just not the CRUZER
