3w driver doesn't use the new LiNUX libata subsystem.


And this is a bad thing? The 3ware driver is hell of a lot more mature than libata. (In fact it's got better Linux support than most scsi raid controllers.) I'm not saying the libata driver is a piece of crap, but author freely claims it's a work in progress.
