It's also one of the best supported hardware devices one can plug a SATA
disk into.  Be it full SATA or not, it's still the best device in my

Randy did not say whether he wanted or needed good i/o or raid.

If only 3ware would put a more powerful processor into their boards so that RAID 5 becomes feasible for write heavy purposes....
