Hello, I am running Fedora Core 1 with the latest everything. I get disconnected while trying to ssh another Fedora Core 1 with the following error message : [pete@thewolf pete]$ ssh -v pete@server OpenSSH_3.6.1p2, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090701f debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config debug1: Applying options for * debug1: Rhosts Authentication disabled, originating port will not be trusted. debug1: Connecting to zarok [10.0.0.5] port 22. debug1: Connection established. debug1: identity file /home/pete/.ssh/identity type -1 debug1: identity file /home/pete/.ssh/id_rsa type -1 debug1: identity file /home/pete/.ssh/id_dsa type -1 ssh_exchange_identification: read: Connection reset by peer debug1: Calling cleanup 0x8062d10(0x0) I have DEBUG3 running on the remote server and the only strange line in the /var/log secure is: Dec 17 20:52:52 zarok sshd[19019]: debug1: lastlog_openseek: Couldn't open /var/log/lastlog: Permission denied and I am not sure if it has anything to do with it but the permission on the lastlog are the default. Both boxes are running Fedora Core 1 latest patches. The remote server was previously a redhat 9.0 box and in six months I have never experience that problem. Any ideas? Thanks.
