I did that -- was set to 4MB, increased it to 10MB (tested with 20MB as
well). No noticeable change... =(

I am quite sure network doesn't have anything to do with it -- I have a
256KB CableModem connection, and average connection speed is pretty
reasonable.

Mmh... doesn't seem to be the case, either. Seems nvidia's drivers are
to blame here, I will see if ALSA gives me better quality.
