can anyone help me get my Microtek ScanMaker 3600 working with xsane? I did a google and found http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=37679 I followed the directions by adding sm3600 0x0003 0x05da 0x40ca 0x0000 0x0000 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00000000 to /etc/hotplug/usb.usermap I also added the suggested script /etc/hotplug/usb/sm3600 while the scanner is on I see in /proc/bus/usb/devices T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#= 14 Spd=12 MxCh= 0 D: Ver= 1.00 Cls=ff(vend.)
