I have been experiencing exactly the same problem with: The device will work after I power down the laptop and turn it back on and insert the key after a fresh reboot.

I don't know whether this is after resuming from a suspend action it fails???

or check during bootup if there is any problems when it tries to initialize usb module..

enter    dmesg usb | grep usb
then it will tell u what happend during boot up

like ex..   heres mine

I don't think so. I tried to use my USB Flash Disk and my HP 656C USB printer. I'm sure it must be supported?

Or are these devices not supported on FC1?
