Try tweaking it with this:
echo 100 > /proc/sys/vm/mapped

If this tries so hard to avoid swap that you get an out-of-memory condition 
you may also have to disable the hard maplimit with this:
echo 0 > /proc/sys/vm/hardmaplimit
