Hi Jeff

I just aquired myself a Promise SATA150 TX4 controller and
a RAIDSonic SATA 4in3 Backplane on Ebay plus 4 drives and
started playing around with them.

While building an RAID 5 array I got an assertion.

This is with a 2.6.12-rc4-mm2 kernel

The system was still usable and claimed to continue building the
array, but an mke2fs that was running against md6 at that time hung
and couldn't be killed.

After a hard reset - a normal shutdown didn't work and hung,
the system came up clean and is continuing to (re)build the RAID-5
array

If you need any additional information just let me know.

Cheers
   Mike
