I get the sarcastic point you are trying to make but I am not one who
has ever charged Fedora to be guilty of being the RHEL beta arena...

I would guess that the issue isn't actually subversion itself but the
subversion libraries being dependencies for other client packages.
(kdesvn/kdesdk/kdevelop)
