I've been getting a lot of these errors in my /var/log/messages file:

Aug 3 05:13:19 wisdom kernel: ata7.01: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x2 frozen Aug 3 05:13:19 wisdom kernel: ata7.01: cmd a0/00:00:00:08:00/00:00:00:00:00/b0 tag 0 pio 16392 in Aug 3 05:13:19 wisdom kernel: cdb 4a 01 00 00 10 00 00 00 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 Aug 3 05:13:19 wisdom kernel: res 58/00:02:00:08:00/00:00:00:00:00/b0 Emask 0x6 (timeout)

If I'm reading correctly the two devices its complaining about are the CD and DVD drives in the system:

Host: scsi7 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: BENQ Model: DVD DD DW1620 Rev: B7W9
Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 05
Host: scsi7 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 00
 Vendor: SONY Model: CD-RW CRX175E Rev: 1.0j
Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 05

the controller is:

03:00.0 IDE interface: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88SE6101 single-port PATA133 interface (rev b1)

TIA

Jeff
