I believe I have these libs installed. Here's the situation:

These libs are installed:
        $ rpm -qa '*compat-libstdc++*'
        compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-61:(none)-i386
        compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-61:(none)-x86_64
        compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-138:(none)-i386
The package
        compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-138:(none)-i386
doesn't seem to be available in any repository, so it's probably not
needed, especially since I am running the i386 version of firefox.

Thanks for your help - jon
