After I check new version, should I uninstall older one?
What proper way to uninstall it?
TIA & WNY, Joao.

a more generalized solution:

you probably have a 'firefox' binary in /usr/bin (or possibly
/usr/local/bin). rename that to something else, then put in a
symbolic link from /usr/bin/firefox to the firefox 1.5 binary (which
is likely found in /usr/lib/firefox-1.5, or /usr/local/lib/... ).

the next time you upgrade, just update the symbolic link after you do
the install. [if for some reason you end up having problems with the
new install (e.g., find it buggy), just switch the symbolic link
back.]

that will make the change system-wide - for anything that invokes
firefox with just the binary name or with the /usr/bin/ pathing.
