I'm not sure what's meant by switching the cables.  either arrakis
eth0 or arrakis eth1 is connected to the hub, never both
simultaneously.  pardon if that wasn't clear.

the IP's are entirely arbitrary, how would switching the IP address
for arrakis eth0 and eth1 change anything?
