In my opinion, the labels Acceleration: and Sensitivity: are backwards. I set the so-called "Sensitivity:" (acceleration, actually) to minimum so the mouse will move predictably the same amount no matter how fast or slow I move it. I set "Acceleration:" (sensitivity) so that the mouse traverses the whole screen in the distance I want.
