Hi, Mike: Please send them. Markku also mentioned it might be better
to send the rescue CD as well, since Fedora is now too big for a boot
floppy. And, thanks, Mike.

Ok Tom, here's the situation:

I have burned you five (5) CDs, to wit:

   FC4-i368-disc1
   FC4-i386-disc2
   FC4-i386-disc3
   FC4-i386-disc4
   FC4-i386-rescuecd

I labelled each of them with a Sharpie(R) laundry pen, so you should
have little difficulty in recognizing which is which.

Each of the ISO images was checked by me to have the same SHA1
hash as listed on the web site before being burnt to CD. I did not read
back and verify the disc images from the burnt CDs.
I did, however, insert each of them, and verify that Fedora Core 2
recognized them, auto-mounted them, and they could be browsed. I also booted
from the rescue CD, and verified that it booted and presented me with an
option to recover. That is the limit of my testing. I take no other
responsibility for these discs or whatever you do with them, than that
I made them the way I claim.

I recommend that you load the ISO images and verify them for SHA1
hash to same value as listed on a recognized mirror site before using
the discs. I also recommend that you do whatever passes for a full
system backup on Linux before proceeding, and be prepared for
a full disaster recovery, whatever that may entail.

I'll send them to you at no charge via media rate mail
(may take a week to deliver?) at this address:

Charles City, IA 50616

I wish you well.

And thanks again for your military service.

BTW, do you know what is actually entailed in making a disaster
recovery set? I'm rather new to Linux admin. myself. Separate
e-mail to me might be more appropriate than contact via this
echo. Any help appreciated.

Mike

This message made from 100% recycled bits.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.
I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
