I know as an IT guy, you have to expect "doom and gloom". Without it, we wouldn't be need. ;-) Anyway, the default targeted policy shouldn't affect most desktop people at all. If it does, I would just turn enforcement off and report the errors. Don't disable selinux, you can't fix a problem you don't know exists. Check out the selinux doc on the fedora site, especially the 1.2 section on how to control selinux:
