FC2 install problems - 2 parts

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi again,

Part 1
------
I thought I'd try installing FC2 on the box with the NIC driver problem
hoping that FC2 would already have the right driver.
However, I get an error saying "An error occurred transferring the install
image to your hard drive. You are probably uot of disk space."

I already use ide=nodma and skipddc as parameters, but still have the
problem. (I know skipddc probably isn't related, but I figured I'd mention
it anyway...)

Part 2
------
I get the following display-related error:
Exceptions.StandardError("Invalid modeline in file: %s"%(line))
It originates in /usr/bin/anaconda, line 670 when importing xsetup

I had this problem on this machine before, but I thought skipddc would fix
it. It did not come up after I started using skipddc. The whole installation
automatically switched to text mode with skipddc, but I'm able to live with
that. However, I suddenly start having this problem even with skipddc.

How can I get around this?

Thanks,

MARK
