Yes I do mean root! I want to keep the Win98 I thought if I formated the root 
partion then the install disk would detect the /boot /root /swap partions and 
load accordingly.

No one is forcing me to upgrade but I don't want to get left behind either.

Mmm maybe your right, Ive seen over 2000 problem postings so far, maybe I'll 
wait for  FC2 v2 to come out (Or what ever revision it is).
