I find your comments interesting most of the time, but you *never* trim any of the previous text and this means that usually your brief three- or four-line comments are stuffed at the bottom below four pages of text we've already read, and which takes time, effort, and bandwidth for anyone reading your messages. Sometimes I just skip your messages because I know that they're going to take more time.

If you deleted the old text to which you are replying (see this message for example), I think more people would read your contributions in addition to the fact that it is more courteous behavior to spend 10 seconds yourself, and save 5,000 people those same 10 seconds. Hopefully you find this suggestion a good idea.
