I've tried various modeline settings and also fixing the VertRefresh to
80-85. But still the refresh rate is only 60Hz.

Extracts from my XFConfig86:

Section "Monitor"

	HorizSync 30-70
	Identifier "MON_17INCH"
	#Identifier "Monitor[0]"
	ModelName "107E"
	Option "DPMS"
	VendorName "PHILIPS"
	VertRefresh 80-85
EndSection

Section "Device"
	Identifier "Videocard0"
	Driver "i810"
	VendorName "Videocard vendor"
	BoardName "Intel 865"
EndSection
