I had no problems installing it, but didn't know of Thomas'
instructions.  I signed up / registered on the Helix site, downloaded
the milestone release, did the tar zxfv, did the install, started it
to make sure it ran, then downloaded the most recent nightly build.
IIRC, that's all I did.  I'm running FC1 with whatever the latest
updates are (though I just noticed up2date is saying there are 27 more
updates ;-).

If there's something you'd like me to check on my system for you, I'd
be happy to.  I've used the Helix player for various sites
