I just recently installed this FC1 linux for the first time. I have only minor programming experience w/ windows. For a hobby I would like to learn about this linux stuff... can anyone recommend a comprehensive book which will send me on my way towards understanding linux?

The Linux Documentation Project http://www.tldp.org is a good general source of info.

Also, until some documentation comes out for Fedora, see the Redhat Linux 9 guides at http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/ . These are very important and mostly still relevant to Fedora.

There is also the excellent reference - http://rute.2038bug.com/ . Very big and very usefull.

Cheers,
Michael
