  One way is to use gmail contacts - they sync with phone (android is
builtin and iphone works i believe) and with thunderbird on fedora using
gcontactsync.

  Not 100% what you're looking for but it does work - and the phone sync
is OTA automatic - just change or add contact and it shows up on the
phone fairly quickly.
