well .. to be more specific: i am used to have X as a service that sits
in rc5.d ... a service that i can stop easily without impacting programs
(servers) (no switch to kill -> start)
so .. i found the start in /etc/init/prefdm.conf
exec /etc/X11/prefdm -nodaemon
which executes different dm's afterwards ...
no i will just erase /etc/init/prefdm.conf and create a normal service
script...

Thanks,
Adrian
