Or maybe that integration of one into the other... You guys didn't indicate what desktop environment are you using with compiz. You also didn't specify the window decorator (although I doubt that it would have anything to do with suspend). While I agree that compiz is being heavily developed and evolves rapidly, I've been using it systematically since F9, and I am yet to encounter my first compiz bug.
