Why is this happening? How can I fix it?

I saw similar message the other day. Removing files /var/lib/rpm/__db.* fixed it for me. I also cleaned yum cache first, but not sure if it was important.

The Problem is SOLVED. I was reading at some french forum and the user that reported a similar
problem said that one day later, everything was working fine without doing anything. and that happened
to me. Today everything works fine.

@Hugh: I wasn't running any YUM process, and I was using the commands as superuser,
so it has permisson to "use" the process, I wasn't running anything as normal user.

@Stan: I tought about cleaning YUM database and making cache, but it didn't worked.
Any YUM command returned the same output.

Anyway, thank's for your help. problem seem to be solved.
