Perhaps, but that's not obvious, given that the error I get is
specifically with shared libraries and your earlier reply is related to
a different error: "setup.data/setup.xml:1: parser error : Document is
empty"

Thanks all the same. I'm not so interested in Google Earth as to want to
install a 32-bit Xorg just to run it.
