Cummings Okay.... We could do that. It's 625 lines long, but I think I figured out what may be happening. I am using an old Tyan motherboard that has a problem with the USB logic. I keep getting over current warnings. So tonight I reset the bios to configure the included USB ports to only run at USB version 1.1 speeds, which stopped the warnings and other USB related errors. I could have disabled the ports, but I need them to connect the printer and other devices. Those ports are supposed to support 2.0 speeds. Well, after making the bios change, rebooting the system and then checking the /var/log/Xorg.0.log file, I discovered that the "nv" driver did indeed load and is working properly. The video display is working pretty much the way it worked with the Fedora 12 distribution. So, I am a happy camper. Thank you for telling me about the Xorg log file. I should have saved the old log file that showed the problem, but it gets rewritten during the boot process. Bill --- William M.
