Or this little gem where the developer looked at it, agreed that it didn't
work, and basically said, "This is the way I've done it for *15 years*, and
I'm not going to change just because something about it doesn't work.  I
think we should wait for the kernel to change and accept the way my code
works.  Bug CLOSED WORKSFORTHEONLYCASEICAREABOUT."
