I've given up. I posted a message on bugzilla asking where the update is to fix installation problems for a windows xp and 2000 vm's. No response. Sent an email message to the people involved with the problem, a Justin M. Forbes" <jmforbes@xxxxxxxxxxxx I got a message from him saying that the updated file should show up in the F13 updates. > On Sat, Oct 02, 2010 at 06:08:04PM -0400, KC8LDO wrote: >> I've been watching this bug for a while now and I wonder why the >> Fedora-13 >> distro doesn't seem to get the patch mentioned in the following bug: >> >> https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/586175 (see comment #29) >> >> This apparently has been fixed for a while is other distros but for some >> reason Fedora has not been fixed. Is there some reason why why this subsystem is not being fixed specificaly for F13? As I saw on some other posts it has apparently been fixed for other distro's. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?format=multiple&id=579348 If the average user doesn't know about a work around they have zero hope of getting it fixed. They only way for them is waiting for the updated packages to show up in the updates repo's. -- users mailing list users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines
