Well, turns out the direct DVD link on that page points to:
http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/test/14-Beta/Fedora/i386/iso/Fedora-14-Beta-i386-DVD.iso
which is exactly identical to

http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/releases/test/14-Beta/Fedora/i386/iso/Fedora-14-Beta-i386-DVD.iso

So, it is the same iso image.
kernel.org is a mirror of Fedora and is one of the most up-to-date
Fedora mirrors.

Kernel.org does not do it's own spin. It is an automatic mirror.

Cheers,

JD
