You could try adjusting /proc/sys/vm/dirty_ratio. "Contains, as a percentage of total system memory, the number of pages at which a process which is generating disk writes will itself start writing out dirty data" The default seems to be 20 on Fedora 13. For example to set it to 5% (which is the lowest it will go I believe): echo 5 > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_ratio This should effectively lower the size of the buffer, but note this will affect all file systems, not just NFS. However you may find that acceptable. -- Ian Chapman. -- users mailing list users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines
