Yes, for one JPG, but not a collection of forty or fifty of them, to
create a PDF. Having to open each image first didn't seem like a very
good option to me. I could also use GIMP, I suppose.

Also, it's just not designed for that -- no special PDF optimization,
or ability to manage the resolution, compression, etc, without having
to do it manually for each, if it's even possible.
