And that is why there's a lot of interest in doing so called "private
clouds".  An organization builds a cloud solely for the use of the
people inside the organization.

And then the user gets the benefits of easier provisioning and
centralized management.  Not that there are no drawbacks or it would
work for everybody.  But you should be able to see that the price of
cloud resources could be the same as what it actually costs you to buy
something yourself.

But you don't have to have this kind of thing setup and hosted by a
third party whose overall goals are different than yours.
