use thunderbird email client for firefox browser;

from firefox menu bar;

 'edit > preferences > applications > search: mail'

double click 'mailto', select 'use thunderbird'.


use firefox browser for thunderbird email client;

from firefox menu bar;

 'edit > preferences > advanced > general > system defaults > check now'
