What's the history of this device?
Have you consistently been able to burn iso's on it without error?

Also, media might be corrupt (scratched, damaged or ...)
Can you try some high quality new blank media?

Try:  wodim -dv  dev=/dev/sr0 speed=YourSpeed filename.iso

Perhaps you will see more useful error messages.
