Thanks Kevin. No I hadn't seen this - I did a search on bugzilla and
tried to find the libpurple component to via all bugs to see if this
or similar had been reported/discussed, but didn't come across the bug
you posted.

OK, so the certificate I want is in a bundle provided in the
ca-certificates package. Can NetworkManager handle such a certificate
bundle? If so, how does it know to / how do I specify it use the
required certificate in the bundle?
