I just installed jython via yum and get the following.
ebrunsonlx(~)$ jython
Jython 2.2.1 on java1.6.0_18

Most everything readline related seems installed:
ebrunsonlx(~)$ sudo yum list *readline*

ldd doesn't show any linkage failures in any of the shared objects distributed with libreadline-java.

Can anyone confirm the error is not just on my system?  What's the protocol for further investigation?  Would it be inappropriate to contact the maintainer directly or should I just file a bugzilla?

Thanks,
e.
