I always load open office. I can not imagine a work computer not to have open office. I can see how it could be left off due to space constraints. It is not a big deal, I just load it after the first boot. The main thing I want from a live CD is answering the question: Will fedora work? Graphics and internet has a history of problems and the live CD answers this in a fast and easy fashion. Adding g++ has been more of a non-intuitive step for me. Having said all of that, I was surprised when open office was missing.
