I had this very same problem and was all to do with creating some new sym links, you will see there are others there. I had this with ssl and a few others, but you will get there. If I remember correctly it's simply a matter ln -s libssl.so.8 libssl.so.X where x being the version installed. Don't quote me on that but that should get you started.
