I also have a rt2860 WLAN card in my netbook (Eee PC 1000H) and it works just fine with default packages from F12. I would first try installing (a)kmod-rt2860 first, once you removed your manually compiled module and configurations in /etc. > I've tried configuring the wpa_supplicant.conf file with the psk in > cleartext and hex and the same goes for the > /etc/Wireless/RT2860STA/RT2860STA.dat file. > *Once*, just *once*, I had this actually connected but have no idea how > it did it. Then there is a good chance I will work again. Question: Is Network Manager deactivated? Obviously you are using wpa_supplicant directly, but it won't work (stable) if NM is active, because the latter one continuously tries to reconfigure your connection. Give NM the preference, before you try wpa_supplicant - it is much more comfortable (if it works) and horribly documented (that you realize once it does not work ;)) -- bye Adalbert Andrea's Admonition: Never bestow profanity upon a driver who has wronged you.
