Do you have nvidia graphics? You boot to run level 3 by adding a 3 to the end of the kernel boot grub line. Log in, then try running 'startx' That will probably hang. I've read of the kernel 2.6.32 having issues with some machines with nvidia graphics. Try adding iommu=soft to the grub boot kernel line. -- Brian Millett - [ Delenn and Sinclair, "The Gathering"] "A poem: a story in meter or rhyme."
