Ok.... I reinstalled the nvidia driver again...the run installation. On 
a whim I omitted ModulePath "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules/drivers" in 
xorg.conf and everything fell perfectly into place. No more error 
messages. Thanks for your help! I appreciate it.!
