mount: special device /dev/sdc1 does not exist

# ls -l /dev/sdc*
brw-rw----. 1 root disk 8, 32 2010-02-01 12:31 /dev/sdc


This hard drive was a install of FC10 boot hard drive and it has a;

/   partition
/home   partition

I do all my installs using those two partitions
